Welcome to Carthagena Fishery

BE QUICK AND GET YOURSELF A COPY OF JERRY'S LATEST BOOK 'CATCHING MEMORIES'

In this long-awaited book, the irrepressible Jerry Hammond shares his memories of some outstanding sessions on both prestigious and lesser known waters. He tells of his successes and failures, the good mates he's met along the way, and even includes a chapter about his years as a film actor. 'Catching Memories' is not an autobiography, though, and was never intended to be one. It is a remarkable collection of carp stories written in true Hammond style, with energy, enthusiasm, humour and just a hint of obsession. If you want a good, entertaining bankside - or fireside -  read, then this is the one for you.

About Carthagena

Established for over 50 years this multi-water fishery is situated on the Herts/ Essex border between Broxbourne and Nazeing, and is only 18 miles from central London.

The fishery comprises of two lakes, a two and a half mile stretch of the River Lee, Dobb's Weir and the weirpool alongside the Carthagena Lock itself.

The main lake, the syndicate lake is a 7 acre gravel pit run as a members only syndicate. Brooke Lake is available as either a day ticket or season ticket venue and is open all year.

The weirpool (which includes the River Lee and Dobbs Weir) is available on a season ticket and separate day tickets are available for the River Lee & Dobb's Weir on the riverbank or from the shop.
